To add a layer of complexity and body 25% of the wine barrel-aged in 5-6 year old French Oak barriques imparting a subtle toast and delicate floral bouquet. This elegant and crisp wine pairs perfectly with seafood and salads. Drink now or cellar up to 5 years.

Cape Bernier is a family run vineyard located on the slopes of an ancient volcanic range, overlooking stunning Marion Bay on Tasmania’s east coast. The maritime climate and rich vineyard soils provide ideal growing conditions for cool climate varietals, particularly Chardonnay. Made to showcase the terroir, our Chardonnays display characteristic honeysuckle and green apple flavours complemented by baked bread aromas from ageing in French oak, balanced by soft acids arising from Cape Bernier's extended growing season. The vineyard consistently produces excellent Chardonnays with these noble beasts being among our most awarded wines.
