Cape Bernier is a family run vineyard located on the slopes of an ancient volcanic range, overlooking stunning Marion Bay on Tasmania’s east coast. The maritime climate and rich vineyard soils provide ideal growing conditions for cool climate varietals. Made to showcase the terroir, our Chardonnay displays characteristic honeysuckle flavours complemented by baked bread aromas from ageing in French oak, balanced by soft acids arising from the vineyard extended growing season. Drink now or cellar for 5-10 years.
Pinot Noir 2018$45
This elegant, balanced wine has been open-vat fermented and matured for nine months in French oak. Black cherry fruit aromas are complemented by a solid tannic underbelly and the savoury spice flavours characteristic of the vineyard. Drink now or cellar for 3-5 years to enjoy its full potential.
Pinot Rosé 2021$32
The 2017 Pinot Rosé, is a bright pink with delicious aromas of summer berries. The extended hours of sunshine provided by our easterly aspect combined with the extended 2017 growing season allowed the fruit to develop balance and complexity. Made in a dry style, from 100% hand-selected Pinot Noir grapes, the palate is characterised by complex fruit and brioche and rounded out by a crisp clean finish.
All Cape Bernier grapes are hand reared and handpicked at harvest to ensure the best interpretation of the terroir comes through in the highest quality wines.
