Cape Bernier Pinot Noir 2010; our flagship wine, using only our best Pinot Noir fruit, is an elegant and full-bodied wine that presents our vineyard’s trademark Pinot Noir characteristics of berry fruits and savoury spice flavours.
Made using classic Burgundian winemaking techniques, including wild yeast fermentation and new and old French oak, this wine is a superb example of cool climate Pinot Noir. The wine exhibits its South Eastern Tasmania roots showing berry fruit, dark plum and spice, whilst with bottle age shows subtle mushroom and forest floor characters.
“Very good clear crimson-purple colour; a totally delicious pinot, with beautifully defined red and black cherry fruit, superfine tannins and balanced oak. Not a hair out of place.”
James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2013
